MATCH

Exhibition #1 Athens, Greece

We are happy to announce the first exhibition in Athens, taking place at the Duncan Dance Centre from 24–26 April 2026.

Three artists — Garance Maurer, Annalisa Zegna, and Vitoria Kotsalou — have developed their residencies between October 2025 and April 2026, exploring climate change through different but interconnected perspectives. From fire and reforestation, to water systems and clay, to the garden as a living, shared ecosystem, their practices have transformed the residency space into a site of ecological and artistic experimentation.
Together, their work opens questions of care, dependence, and responsibility, while activating the garden as a space of encounter, movement, and collective reflection.

As part of the MATCH events taking place in Athens on April 24/25/26 a public lecture will be hosted at the School of architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with guest speakers Garance Maurer and Annalisa Zegna, the two resident artists that will return to Athens to present their findings and their work after their residency at DDRC in October. The venue on Friday April 24 is at 12:00 at lecture hall A002, at the ground floor of the Averof historic building. The presentations form part of the curriculum of the fourth year design studio (8A) which addresses the investigation and design of outdoor public spaces in relation to the wider urban or non-urban environment and serves as an introduction to Landscape Architecture, in didactic correlation with architecture. Fourth year students of architecture and colleagues will attend, but the event will be announced to the school at large, so others interested might attend as well. After the presentations by the two artists we anticipate that stimulating discussion will follow. Those of you that happen to be in Athens are more than welcome to join us!
